ECS’s annual Spring Flower & Plant Sale is back in time for Mother’s Day and Spring planting! Annual bedding flowers, a variety of beautiful hanging baskets, and patio planters will be available from the same vendor that Phipps Conservatory uses (so the plants will be fantastic!). We are also offering organic vegetable and herbs from Garden Dreams, an urban farm and nursery in Wilkinsburg. Deadline for ordering is April 18, 2018 extended to APRIL 24, 2018.

2017 Fair Trade Marketplace
Each year, the PCO brings the Fair Trade Marketplace to ECS. This holiday gift shop will be open in the ECS Upper School Cafe on December 9-10. You will find a selection of fair trade, sustainable, affordable gifts for socially and environmentally responsible holiday gift giving. We invite children to the Chickadee’s Nest where they can shop independently for gifts under $10. All items are made by artisans around the world who are paid fairly for their work. Enjoy some soup and baked goods after you shop. Open to the public! Sign up to volunteer.
Holiday Poinsettia Sale
The PCO is offering poinsettias and other plants for sale this holiday season. Deadline for pre-orders is Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

Scholastic Book Fair at ECS
We’re bringing a Scholastic Book Fair to ECS! Stop by for a book and a treat in the main foyer of the Lower School. There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Though the fair is hosted at the lower School, we will have titles for older readers available as well.
ECS Lower School
Monday, November 6, 5:30-7:30 pm
Tuesday, November 7, 8:30 am-7 pm
Our Online Fair is available from November 1-14
If you are unable to attend the Fair in person, we invite you to visit our online Book Fair at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/environmentalcharterschool.
Volunteers Needed
Because all of us would like to attend parent teacher conferences, we have to have enough volunteer coverage so we can slip out as needed for these meetings. Kids are welcome to help. Grades 6-8 can work without an adult, under grade 6 requires parental supervision. Sign up to volunteer!
Advertise in the ECS School Directory!
We are now accepting advertisements in the ECS School Directory. Please see our ad rates and instructions for submitting your advertisement by Sept. 15. Thank you for your support!
ECS T-Shirts and Sweatshirts for Sale
FOR SALE: ECS t-shirts and sweatshirts with the new ECS logo. All orders placed by September 1, 2017 will be delivered to classrooms by mid- to late-September. After September, a limited number of sizes and colors will be stocked by the PCO and available for purchase. Order now.
The PCO would like to ensure that every student at ECS has the opportunity to have an ECS t-shirt. If you can not afford the price of a t-shirt, you may request one free t-shirt per student.
Uniform Sale
The PCO’s Uniform Re-Use Market will be held at the Lower School only (all sizes available in one location, all ECS families welcome to shop). Gently used uniform shirts, pants, shorts, skirts and jumpers are all $2 each.
Donate Your Gently Used Uniforms – May 30-June 14
We are collecting clean, gently used uniform clothing starting May 30 through June 14. These donations will be offered at the PCO’s Uniform Re-use Market at a back-to-school event in August. Please bring in your outgrown clothes to the collection bins in either school building. Thank you! Contact uniforms@ecspco.org with any questions.
Student Artwork for Sale
Every ECS student contributed to the grade-level artwork auctioned off at the Blooming Bash. Only nine lucky people have the fabulous originals hanging on their walls but you can own a copy of the Blooming Bash grade-level art too! All proceeds from these prints will go toward the Lower School Beautification Project. Order your print today!
May 20 – Regent Square Yard Sale Day
The annual Regent Square yard sale is happening on Saturday, May 20. If you want to participate as a seller but don’t live in the neighborhood, the PCO is offering table space at the Upper School for a small fee. Read more and register here.
